Superman Prequel Series Krypton Gets a Teaser Trailer

The first teaser for the Syfy original series Krypton has dropped. Created by Damian Kindler longtime Warner Bros. and DC property writer David S. Goyer who co-wrote or had a hand in the story of The Dark Knight Trilogy, Man of Steel and Batman vs Superman.

“Our generation was meant to inherit the stars now I’m the last…the only surviving member of the house of El.”

No it is not Superman. It’s a prequel. Set roughly two hundred years before Man of Steel and based on DC characters created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster – Krypton clearly shows that the history of Kal-El’s family has always been one of struggle to survive.

Reportedly following Superman’s grandfather Seg-El (Cameron Cuffe) as he tries to bring the house of El out of a period of shame whilst saving Krypton from chaos you can catch the pre-Kal-El era when the show debuts on Syfy in 2018.

David has an undergraduate degree in Drama and first showed symptoms of a mind blown by cinema after watching The Godfather too many years ago to remember. He enjoys binge watching TV shows because that is the only way to watch them, right? The West Wing, The Sopranos and The Wire rank among his favourites of all time; the list could go on but changes the more he watches. Books, comics and games are also enjoyed in different moods. Finishing that novel is a life ambition.
